How the process works

Clear, simple steps. No jargon required. Share what you’re trying to do and we’ll help translate that into a print plan.

1

Share your idea

Send a 3D file (STL, 3MF, STEP) or describe what you need with photos, measurements, or a sketch. We’ll review and ask any clarifying questions.

2

Get a quote & plan

You’ll get an estimate covering material, print time, and any prep work. Once approved, we schedule the job and keep you posted on progress.

3

Print, check, deliver

We print, inspect, and clean up the part. You can choose local pickup (where available) or shipping. If something’s off, we’ll work with you on a fix.

Current capabilities

This is a small, focused lab. We’re starting with high-quality FDM printing and expanding over time as demand grows.

Build volume

Most medium-sized parts fit without issue. Larger designs can often be split into multiple pieces and assembled.

  • Ideal for small to mid-sized parts
  • We can advise how to split larger models
Single-part & multi-part

Materials

Great general-purpose materials for functional and cosmetic parts. If you’re unsure, we’ll recommend what fits your use.

  • PLA / PLA+ — general purpose, great detail
  • PETG — better heat & impact resistance
Solid & translucent colors

Surface & strength

We can trade off speed vs. detail depending on your priority, from quick prototypes to cleaner final parts.

  • Layer heights from ~0.12–0.28 mm
  • Variable infill for strength vs. weight
Detail-oriented tuning One-off or short runs

Common questions

A quick overview. If something isn’t covered here, just ask in the quote form below.

Do I need a 3D file?

If you already have a 3D model (STL, 3MF, STEP), perfect. If not, start by describing what you need. Simple shapes and brackets are usually easy to create from measurements and photos—more complex designs may require CAD work or an external designer.

What about intellectual property?

You’re responsible for having the rights to anything you ask us to print. We treat your files as private job inputs and do not resell or share them.

How fast can I get a part?

⏱ Typical window: 2–5 business days

Timing depends on part size, quantity, material, and the current queue. If you have a deadline, mention it in your message—if we can’t hit it, we’ll say so up front.

Where are you located?

Lab323 is a small, appointment-only print lab based in the Woodstock, GA area. Local pickup may be available for qualifying jobs; otherwise we can ship within the U.S.

Start a print or request a quote

Share a bit about your project and where you are in the process. You’ll get a response with next steps, timing, and pricing details.

You can upload one or more smaller model files directly. For very large or complex projects, sharing a cloud link (Drive, Dropbox, etc.) usually works better.

You’ll get a reply as soon as possible. Quotes are free and there’s no obligation to move forward.
